Seal Cove offers crystal clear waters that are the perfect backdrop to this experience. Sea Lions are the ocean’s most playful, gentle and curious animal. As the boat comes into view; the Sea Lions tend to swim and play with glee, waiting for people to arrive for a swim. The curiosity is part of the natural behaviours of the Sea Lions and they love getting up close to check out swimmers.

They’ll perform twists and turns and jumps and dart through the water to show their excitement which takes place in a nature reserve that’s away from the Sea Lion’s breeding areas so as to not interrupt them. These wild Sea Lions are free to come and go as they choose; but thanks to their inquisitive nature they truly enjoy hanging out with swimmers, offering one of the most amazing nature experiences of a lifetime.

The experience departs from Port Lincoln Marina at 8am and heads out to Seal Cove for the swim experience. Morning tea is provided while on the boat before returning around Midday. For the ultimate experience, passenger numbers are kept to a minimum with anywhere from 4 passengers through to only a maximum of 18. By keeping passenger numbers reduced the tour offers a lovely, personalised experience allowing the expert guides to answer questions and provide lots of information during the tour.

The tour operates with Australia’s highest level of ECO certification available to ensure minimal disruption of animals and a guarantee of environmentally, economically and socially responsible operations. The environment is just as important as the experience; because both depend on each other.

The boat offers all necessary facilities for a great day on the water including a shower, toilet and change room. Staff will take photos through the day which will be made available online for free for passengers, although a personal waterproof camera is a great idea on this tour. Disposable underwater cameras are available for purchase on board also.

A warm jacket is recommended as it can get chilly on the water; along with a towel, swimmers, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

This swim experience voucher is valid for one child aged 5-15 years to swim with the Sea Lions departing from Port Lincoln Marina at 8am and returning at Midday. The tour guarantees interaction with the Sea Lions; and refreshments are also included during this half day boat tour.
