Suitable for learner drivers if they’re accompanied by a fully licensed driver, and provisional drivers; this defensive driving course is all about teaching best-practice driver safety for suburban driving.

Participants complete the course using their own vehicle (suitable to most vehicles including four wheel drives and light commercial vehicles) so that they are confident out on the roads after the course is completed. A qualified instructor offers full support and instruction on the day to cover topics such as vision, awareness, steering, vehicle dynamics, tyres, risk taking, road laws, braking, seating and more.

The course is undertaken on a wet road that mimics urban environments and speed so that drivers can learn how best to deal with situations such as multiple direction changes, emergency braking and swerving in the wet.

Offered in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, this course is suitable for drivers aged 16-80, although it is not suitable for pregnant drivers. Participants use their own car with the course operating from approximately 8:30am to 4pm with a certificate issued upon completion of the course.
