In Australia, there’s no shortage of people who love to barbecue. But how many of us possess the skills to really impress our guests? If you know someone who rarely leaves their comfort zone of beef snag and grilled onions; someone who struggles to find the middle ground between ‘bloody as hell’ and ‘burnt to a crisp’ when cooking a steak; or someone who can’t make an accompanying sauce or salad to save their life, then why not do them (and their guests) a favour, and give them this voucher?
The Meat BBQ Cooking Class, offered by BBQ School – the masters of outdoor cookery – in Brisbane, the ACT and Sydney at scheduled times (typically on weekends), will have participants leaving with some serious skills on the grill.
The 3 hour class is led by an experienced and friendly chef, who will combine demonstration with supervised hands-on practice! Attendees will learn how to produce juicy and tender lamb, beef and chicken, while adding a flare with a range of sauces, marinades, and accompaniments. A bonus two-part wine tutorial will also have them pairing their dishes with the perfect drop each and every time!
Aprons, utensils, and ingredients will be provided on the day, and each participant will be given a full set of recipes and course notes to keep. All they’ll need to bring is covered shoes, comfortable clothing, and, of course, a big appetite! (That’s right, the class will have the opportunity to feast on all of their succulent creations throughout the class!)
The menu for the day is typically as follows (although may change due to seasonal availability):
- Lamb slider in Patak’s Rogan Josh, with cucumber & lemon yoghurt
- BBQ chicken & ancient grains salad w/ balsamic & pomegranate dressing
- Lamb leg smothered in honey Dijon, w/ fat-roasted potato & onion salad
- Cape Grim sirloin w/ rocket & chimichurri salad
Say goodbye to those tired old sausages, chops, and rissoles! This class is a fun and delicious way for any amateur barbecue buff to elevate their game to grill-master!
Terms and conditions: All participants must be eighteen years or older, as alcohol will be served on the day. The voucher is valid for one participant. Bookings can be rescheduled for free more than three days out from the gate, but will attract a fee of $50 one to three days from the date. Cancellations made on the day will result in the voucher being forfeited. Full details will be received in an email, sent out after checkout.
Everything But Flowers experience vouchers are redeemable directly with the experience provider with full details provided upon purchase. Recipients have 3 years to use the full value of the voucher.
