Being of Cambodian-French heritage, the founder of VIVE Cooking School comes from two worlds both strongly connected to the tradition and ritual of social food culture; spending time with loved ones while eating good, nourishing food – which is celebrated at VIVE. Their chef, Julien Vassuer, is also from France – growing up in the countryside where vegetables were grown everywhere, everyone had their own animals, and families ate together. This passion for good food took him to some of the best cooking schools in the world before settling in Sydney and passing on his knowledge through VIVE Cooking School.
