Dove Canyoning Adult, TAS
Wilderness + Adrenalin + Adventurous Fun
With nearly 45% of the small island state encompassing national parks, heritage listed sites, and reserves, it is no wonder Tasmania is known for its ruggedness; with verdant wilderness, and incredible natural beauty found nowhere else in the country. For those nature lovers, who love seeking the thrills, this experience is an amazing way to see what Tassie has to offer through serious adrenalin inducing adventure.
Only 2 and a half hours from pretty Launceston, surrounding Cradle mountain, the canyons and waterfalls of the Dove River offers participants unconventional exploration of a naturally stunning, and lesser traversed area. Having won multiple awards, their guides know how to ensure an incredible full 6-8 hour day of adventure.
Not for the faint-hearted, our Dove Canyon Experience is all action, including hiking; abseiling down gorgeous canyons; leaping off waterfalls into fresh, crisp water; swimming; sliding down mother nature’s waterslides; all around the 50-metre-deep quartzite canyon. Participants will also enjoy a gourmet lunch, which also includes chocolate and hot drinks!
There is no need for previous experience to enjoy this Tasmanian journey, but it is important that those participating are physically fit, can swim, and of course, love adventure! A wonderful challenge for the mind and body, with a rewarding sense of achievement; having explored some of the country’s most untouched areas. Safety gear will all be provided, including a buoyancy vest, a helmet, and a wetsuit!
