Artisan Handmade Sausage Making Class
Give the gift of artisan sausage making with this farm based sausage making course on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Inspired by the Italian and German sausage making expertise; students will be taken on a journey of discovery learning the techniques and expertise necessary to create and cook gourmet sausages.
Set on 27 acres of sustainable farmland; this Sausage Cooking Class For 1 takes students on an inspirational journey learning about bratwurst sausage making to uncover the best cuts of meat to use, how to perfectly grind meat for use in sausages, along with the best herbs and seasoning to create the perfect sausage recipe. Tips and techniques for cooking the perfect sausage are also covered during the class so students have all the information they need to take their new skills back to their home kitchen.
With access to the kitchen garden; all ingredients are farm fresh, and students will create their own batch of gourmet sausages to take home to. After the 3 hour class, a beautiful lunch is enjoyed with a glass of wine overlooking the dam and farmlands.
This class takes place from 9am to 12noon, followed by a fresh lunch overlooking the farm. Students are required to arrive at 8:50am for class registration. Class notes, equipment and a chef’s apron are all supplied. It is recommended that students bring along a cooler bag to transport their food home safely.
