Compared to its European neighbours, Spain’s food is heavily influenced by its regional flavours – with each having their own unique culture and cuisine. The participants of this Spanish culinary journey will have the opportunity to learn varied and vibrant dishes from different regional areas, including a dessert and the classic sangria!

Set in beautiful Noosa, the participants will be welcomed with a muffin fresh from the oven, and a gourmet coffee or tea to enjoy on the veranda surrounded by tropical garden and national park, before heading into the kitchen to learn the tricks of Spanish delights. Their passionate and experienced teacher, who is recently returned from Spain, will guide them through a hands-on, fun and a relaxed class full of tapas, full sized dishes, dessert and more!

La comida (the food) from the sample menu will get the mouth watering and ready to take on this Spanish challenge. They will start with a range of pintxos and tapas; mussels with gazpacho salsa; tomato bread from Catalan; before creating a Riojan inspired stew of potatoes, lamb and chorizo; and baby peas braised with garlic, olive oil and spring onion. They will finish up learning the tricks of the famous tarta de Santiago, before mastering a perfect homemade sangria!

After all the fun in the kitchen is over, the class will gather around the table for a full sit down meal that includes generous portions of all their creations, including a couple of glasses of the gorgeous sangria to wash it all down in true Spanish style! All students will be able to take home a folder full of tips, fact sheets, class notes and recipes so they can recreate their Spanish feast time and time again.
