Urban Beer Odyssey, MEL
The ultimate beer tour through Melbourne!
This Full Day Friday Urban Beer Odyssey combines the new with the old as we drink and eat our way across the suburbs of Melbourne. Including a tour of the Moon Dog Brewery, Temple Brewery, Kooinda Brewery, Two Birds Brewery, Foresters Hall, Mountain Goat and James Squire.
What you can expect from the day
After picking you up we will make the short trip across town, past the Yarra River - aka the old beer highway.
Temple Brewery are one of the new kids on the block setting up their state of the art brewery in the inner city suburb of Brunswick. Along with a stable of amazing beers, Temple also dabble in barrel aged ales, fruit sours, collaborations with other brewers and even suggestions from their fans. Enjoy a taste of all of their beers and in true Aussie Brewery Tours style we ensure that the tasting paddles are generous and that they include all the regular beers as well as seasonal specialities and collaboration brews.
It is now time to choose your drop-off location. Mountain Goat is a craft brewery success story, in fact, as far as independent small breweries go, they may be THE success story! Nestled in the heart of Richmond this place is positively humming with after work drinkers knocking back beers and pizzas. James Squire brew-pubs are popping up across the country and we couldn't be more happy about it - wouldn't it be awesome if every pub brewed its own beer?! Nestled in the heart of the CBD at the Portland Hotel, James Squire serves up beers and ciders from the James Squire range as well as brewing their own in house speciality beers.
Other breweries also visited are, Moon Dog Brewery, Kooinda Brewery, Two Birds Brewery and Foresters Hall.
Note: Tour groups visit working breweries. Whilst we work hard to ensure you can meet as many brewers, brewery staff and visit back of brewery areas, it is not always possible to visit every brewery and undertake all activities in the order stated above.
