Great Whites Tour Child Off Peak, SA
Kids Love Adventure & They'll Love a Shark Swim
No more boring gifts. This full day boat tour experience is all about sharks and for those who are brave enough even offers the chance to get in the water and swim with these kings of the ocean.
This experience voucher is for a child boarding pass for off peak season in March, April & November for those aged between 5 and 15 years; to experience the stunning natural beauty of sharks and other wildlife departing from Port Lincoln.
Leaving at 7am from Port Lincoln Marina; the boat travels through the Thorny Passage approximately 70kms out the Neptune Island’s Shark Bay. During the journey staff will share their expertise on wildlife and nature that’s encountered on the way; including curious sea birds and the graceful dolphins who often make an appearance near the boat. Once the destination is reached, then it’s time to get the music pumping.
So; ACDC may not sound like the typical musical enjoyment on a wildlife cruise, but thanks to this specially designed sound vibration system; sharks are attracted by vibration and not by the use of baits and berley. They even like listening the the Hilltop Hoods on occasions; great taste in music we say! So why play music to the sharks? Using baits and berley can disrupt the shark’s natural feeding cycle and attract hungry sharks; we much prefer to attract curious sharks who are out seeing what their curiosity will find them.
This tour offers Australia’s highest level of eco certification so that passengers can rest assured that all impact on animals and the environment is minimised as much as possible while still allowing full interaction with nature to provide a truly fulfilling experience that will be remembered for a lifetime.
If the sharks love the music and come to have a look; then the fun really increases. Staff will offer the passengers the chance to upgrade their tour to include an underwater experience to see the sharks up close in their own environment. $125 is payable on the day when on board the boat; and passengers have the option to head underwater in the safety of the shark cage for the full face to face experience; or for those who would prefer to stay dry then take advantage of the Aqua Sub that offers a 360 degree underwater view without getting wet!
Take the chance to bring along an underwater camera, purchase a disposable underwater camera on board, or download the free photos taken by the staff during the day trip. Thanks to the small group sizes ranging from 6 to 27 passengers there’s plenty of personalised time and interaction with the highly qualified guides and plenty of opportunity for all passengers to experience the thrill of being under water with sharks.
The boat has all the required services for a comfortable day on the water including toilet, shower and change room. Tea and coffee, Morning and Afternoon tea, as well as lunch are served on board, and for those who would like to purchase extra refreshments or merchandise; that’s available too.
