Great Whites Tour Adult Off Peak, SA
A Memorable Gift For Adventure Lovers
Give the gift of serious yet fun adventure as your lucky gift recipient heads out for a day of shark sightseeing; and if they are brave enough can even take the opportunity to swim with the sharks too!
This off peak pass is valid for one adult passenger during the months of March, April and November at Port Lincoln for a full day boat tour and Great White Shark encounter opportunities.
Departing from Port Lincoln at around 7am from Port Lincoln Marina the boat travels approximately 70kms through the Thorny Passage out to Shark Bay at Neptune Island. There will be plenty to see on the way; with sea birds gliding overhead and perched along the shorelines; and often dolphins coming to check out the boat with their graceful curiosity. Expert guides will be able to answer any questions about the marine environment throughout the day sharing their knowledge during the tour.
So, how do you find Great White Sharks in the middle of the ocean? Would you believe us if we told you it was by playing them ACDC? This eco-friendly certified boat uses Audio sound vibration as a means to attract sharks to the area. The specially developed system uses the natural curiosity of sharks to bring them to where they can be viewed in a totally environmentally friendly way. By using sound vibration rather than baits and berley the sharks are not attracted out of hunger; nor are their natural hunting routines disturbed. Instead they simply come and have a look, a much nicer and eco-friendly way to operate a shark tour experience. This is why the tour has been awarded Advanced ECO Certification; Australia’s highest level of eco-responsible certification that ensures the business operates safely and sustainably.
Then comes the chance for those who are bravest of all to take the $125 underwater upgrade option and get up close and personal with the sharks in their own natural habitat. Passengers may choose, if they want to experience the total shark adventure; to head underwater in the safety of the shark cage; or for those who would prefer to stay dry – there’s the Aqua Sub. The sub still provides a 360 degree underwater view, but passengers get to stay dry while enjoying the sharks.
Coffee, tea, morning and afternoon tea and lunch are all provided during the tour. There are also other refreshments and snacks available to purchase while on board, along with merchandise. All facilities required for comfort are available on the boat including toilet, change rooms and shower; in a small group environment of 6 – 27 passengers.
